Press Release – County Durham Community Foundation takes a collaborative approach to supporting local youth groups

County Durham Community Foundation is providing grants of up to £5,000 via The Good Exchange to support local charities and good causes, especially those that have never received one of its grants.  The Foundation, an independent grant-making charity, provides grants (from charitable trusts donated by local individuals, families, businesses and trusts), that make a genuine difference to the lives of local people.  It is dedicated to helping communities grow by creating opportunities and tackling issues of disadvantage and exclusion.

The Foundation would like to provide an extra boost to its grants programme through collaboration with other funders in the area and is actively encouraging any local or regional grant givers to contact The Good Exchange. Any voluntary-led organisations with projects involving children and young people, the elderly, and people with disabilities, as well as projects in healthcare, arts and culture and the local environment should apply via The Good Exchange platform here.
